Powered by five top-binned CREE LED's, a pair of R5's will throw a whopping 10,740 lumens of usable light at distance down your path. The extra distance and spread of the crystal clear 5000K daylight produced enables you to better see and be seen. Trailside animals, pedestrians, and other hazards are more quickly perceived and reacted to.
Don't just survive a ride at dusk, enjoy the scenery along the way with nearly 8 times* as much usable light compared to stock lighting.
The key difference between the R5 and R7 are output and size. Both utilize machined optics to provide both a flood and spot beam pattern. As the output of either light is significantly greater than your stock headlight, either is an excellent option.
Sold as both pairs and single units. Pairs of lights arrive in a special RUBY branded box, single light orders are individually wrapped without the RUBY box.
A single R5 is rated at 5,370 lumens, 10,680 lumens as a pair.

I just traded my R 1250 GS that had Ruby lights, and the new buyer wanted the lights as part of the deal, so I ordered a new set of R5’s, a Hex EZ-Can, and the appropriate wiring. Ordering and shipping were quick - delivered a day earlier than projected.
Install is pretty easy - the hardest part was finding space in the R1300 GSA under the seat area, but in the end, it all fit. I would highly recommend getting the Hex EZCan Ruby Conversion Cables, as that makes it a truly plug-and-play install, with absolutely zero wire cutting involved. I also got the yellow lens covers. I am a huge believer in the fact that those ultra-bright yellow lights save lives - I can definitely notice the difference in how cars see me whenever I get a new bike and have not yet installed my yellow Rubys, and then when I finally get them installed - night and day difference (pun intended).
The lights themselves are crazy bright. Because I installed them with the Hex EZ can, I can control them from my bike switches - turn them on or off and control intensity. The EZCan software gives a few other great possibilities, like strobing the lights whenever you use the horn, and also, you can force them to strobe by hitting the high beam switch three times quickly - when those R5's strobe, it definitely gets everyone’s attention.
This is my third set of Ruby lights - quality of manufacture and brightness and cost put those other major brands to shame. Get Ruby lights, you'll thank me later.
The build quality on the lights is very impressive and so is their light output. Even the wiring cables were first rate products. I had two occasions to contact customer support, once prior to placing my order and once after, and I found the company to be very accommodating and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future!
Finally got these lites installed. Very impressed with the quality of the lites themselves and the cabling and hardware. The light housings themselves are solid and look indestructible. Light output is huge. With the yellow lens covers on you can really be seen by motorists. Power switch is solid and the knob to adjust lite output has a good, solid feel to it. I mounted it on the mirror perch with the supplied 90* mount. Lites, mounts and lens covers are all great quality. Nice product RubyMoto.
Awesome high quality product. The customer service from Ruby Moto from quick dispatch of the lights to responding to a variety questions has been second to none. Very highly recommend the products and company.
