Powered by seven top-binned CREE LED's, a pair of R7's will throw a whopping 15,036 lumens of usable light hundreds of yards down your path. The extra distance and spread of the crystal clear 5000K daylight produced enables you to better see and be seen. Trailside animals, pedestrians, and other hazards are more quickly perceived and reacted to.
Don't just survive a ride at dusk, enjoy the scenery along the way with nearly 10 times* as much usable light compared to stock lighting.
The key difference between the R7 and R4 are output and size. Both utilize machined optics to provide both a flood and spot beam pattern. If riding a larger adventure bike (GSA, SAR, Multistrada), the ideal setup is to install a set of R4 and R7 lights. With the R4's used as a DRL (daytime running light), and the R7 wired into your stock high beam switch, you will enjoy being seen by other motorists during the day and have all the firepower in the world for night missions across the desert.
Sold as both pairs and single units. Pairs of lights arrive in a special RUBY branded box, single light orders are individually wrapped without the RUBY box.

Happy to support a small company, but there are a few issues worth noting.
First, the wiring layout is a bit awkward. The connector plugs from the lights to the CANbus are positioned very far forward on the bike, making them difficult to conceal cleanly. The overall wiring quality could also be improved. The outer insulation is extremely soft, to the point that it’s almost impossible to strip cleanly—even with a precision wire-stripping tool. I’ve rarely had this much difficulty getting a clean cut.
The most frustrating issue, however, was the light brackets. They would not tighten enough to prevent the lights from moving, and I ultimately had to shim the brackets with thicker washers to secure them properly.
That said, the lights themselves are excellent quality, and my purchasing decision was heavily influenced by the lifetime warranty.
Lights don’t work. Trying to troubleshoot but not getting the help I need.. W So far I have fancy heavy expensive appendages bolted onto my bike that do not function.as told to take it up with HexExcan but so far they’ve failed to help me in any way. I have an open ticket with them so waiting for them to come through but as of now, pretty disappointed with whole thing. James
I have owned R7 and R4 lights that have worked on a number of motorcycles.
I recently purchased a new F-250 and wanted some offroad lights for times when I’m in the bush at night.
I opted for a pair of R7s that are connected to my upfitter switch panel. Like my motorcycles, I can now turn night into day with Ruby lights.
I’m a big fan.
Thank you.
David
These Ruby R7s are truly amazing! I have an R7 on my KTM and now two on my BMW 1250GSA. They light up my world!!
