How does 10x'ing your auxiliary light output in 10 minutes in your own garage sound? It's finally here, the RUBY plug and play R4 is ready for liftoff. Simply remove your factory fog light with one bolt, set this in it's place, reinstall bolt, insert your R4 in to the same connector you just unplugged, and voila you are finished. Literally 10 minutes with one tool. No error lights, no fuss, simply plug and play and you're off to the races using your same BMW switch.
The R4 has the most lumens by volume in the industry. Packed into a 2.3" diameter housing,
4,296 crystal-clear lumens in a finely tuned optical array far outshine the competition. No one else comes close to the level of output and performance in such a small package. 'How is this possible?' you might be wondering. Because we are the only brand using billet aluminum for our housing, as opposed to cast aluminum. Billet is stronger and superior to cast across the board, especially in regards to heat dissipation. Simply put, others cant handle the heat.
Our specially tuned optics provide the ideal combination beam pattern. Around 65% of your light in the center view, with the remainder fading into a nice even gradient to both periphery. This combination is the ideal setup, enabling you to better see and be seen. Trailside animals, pedestrians, and other hazards are more quickly perceived and reacted to. Likewise oncoming vehicles will see and react to you significantly quicker during the daytime when lit with a pair of R4. Enjoy being seen by others during the day, and have all the firepower in the world for night missions across the desert.
NOTE 1: To ensure fitment unplug the connector out of the OEM light. If the connector is yellow and rectangular that version of light is not compatible. (Image 6) We are currently working on a solution for these connectors.
NOTE 2:
When fitting on an R1300 GS, an error will be presented that your left auxiliary light has been disconnected. All switched and bike functions remain normal, the error can be removed by your local dealer. Your bike will function normally regardless.

I read through the reviews and was cautious due to the ones that said the company was unresponsive. I tried putting lenses on the oem aux lights for my r1250gsa but that made them even less useful. So i took a chance and bought the P&P Ruby lights.
The order was shipped immediately and i received it within a few days. But what i received was the wrong wiring configuration. I contacted support that evening and got a response the next day. The support team reviewed a pic of what i received and immediately sent out the correct lights. I got them in a couple of days along with a prepaid shipping label to send the incorrect product back.
Mistakes are made, but it is how they are handled that makes the difference. Ruby Moto provided good support in a timely manner.
As for the lights... They are great. It took less than 10 minutes to replace the oem lights and they worked perfectly. The yellow lenses stand out in the day light but they really do their work at night. They are incredibly bright even with the lenses on. No errors on the TFT and they work perfectly with the aux light button on the bike. The tail on the P&P lights are only about 8 inches long and the pigtail is 4 inches. The cables easily fit into the wite guides on the crash bars. I couled up the slack and zip tied it to the crash bar close to the engine so it is not visible.
The only thing that would improve this kit would be to make the aluminum housing on the P&P connector black. It is aluminum so it does stand out making it fairly obvious that the cabling is not stock.
Just installed these on my 1250 GSA and now I can barely tell a difference between the built-in high and low beam! And I'm confident if I can see this much better, then oncoming traffic will certainly see me too. Thanks Eric!!
I Purchased a set of 2 Ruby R4 lights for my Bmw, July 1st.
I'v tried to contact Ruby Moto several times true emails, but no respond at all.
I paid US $600, for the lights, order 3817.

Update 8/31/2026: The lights finally arrived — over a month after I ordered, and I never got a single response to my calls, emails, or website messages the entire time. I want to be fair and retract my earlier accusation that Ruby might be out of business or taking money without delivering; that clearly wasn’t the case here.
That said, the total lack of communication was a real problem. No shipping update, no acknowledgment of my inquiries, nothing — I only knew the order was still alive because it eventually showed up. If you order from Ruby, be prepared for a long wait with little to no visibility into status.
As for the product itself: I just installed the lights and they appear to be very well made/high quality and worked immediately-plug and play. It would have been nice to have an instruction sheet for these but the installation did go pretty easily and was straight forward, but be prepared to tuck away the extra wiring you will have because of the wire connectors that came with the lights. The kit came with stainless steel hardware which was a nice touch. I can’t really ding the lights because I do like them a lot and they were just installed so take this review for what it is- However, I am taking a star for the really poor customer service.
Super easy install with the provided connector. My factory aux lights had issues. Not only did they allow moisture into the housing (twice, but covered by BMW) they provided minimal lighting improvement. Got the Ruby’s and was immediately impressed. Adjusted them to where the aux beam lighting cutoff met the factory low beams. Now I’ve got great lighting to the front and a massive improvement to the sides. Very impressed and would buy again.
