How does 10x'ing your auxiliary light output in 10 minutes in your own garage sound? It's finally here, the RUBY plug and play R4 is ready for liftoff. Simply remove your factory fog light with one bolt, set this in it's place, reinstall bolt, insert your R4 in to the same connector you just unplugged, and voila you are finished. Literally 10 minutes with one tool. No error lights, no fuss, simply plug and play and you're off to the races using your same BMW switch.
The R4 has the most lumens by volume in the industry. Packed into a 2.3" diameter housing, 4,296 crystal-clear lumens in a finely tuned optical array far outshine the competition. No one else comes close to the level of output and performance in such a small package. 'How is this possible?' you might be wondering. Because we are the only brand using billet aluminum for our housing, as opposed to cast aluminum. Billet is stronger and superior to cast across the board, especially in regards to heat dissipation. Simply put, others cant handle the heat.
Our specially tuned optics provide the ideal combination beam pattern. Around 65% of your light in the center view, with the remainder fading into a nice even gradient to both periphery. This combination is the ideal setup, enabling you to better see and be seen. Trailside animals, pedestrians, and other hazards are more quickly perceived and reacted to. Likewise oncoming vehicles will see and react to you significantly quicker during the daytime when lit with a pair of R4. Enjoy being seen by others during the day, and have all the firepower in the world for night missions across the desert.
NOTE 1: To ensure fitment unplug the connector out of the OEM light. If the connector is yellow and rectangular that version of light is not compatible. (Image 6) We are currently working on a solution for these connectors.
NOTE 2: When fitting on an R1300 GS, an error will be presented that your left auxiliary light has been disconnected. All switched and bike functions remain normal, the error can be removed by your local dealer. Your bike will function normally regardless.
Kit includes a pair of R4, pair of Hyper-Vis Lens Covers, 2014 and newer BMW R1200 GS & GSA, R1250 GS & GSA, 1300 GS fog light mounting brackets, Conversion Cables to allow plug and play capability with BMW connectors. Everything you need to install your new lights is included in this kit.

The good: First, these lights are surface-of-the-sun bright. They absolutely perform as described. Second, they look fantastic on the bike and look much better than the factory fog lights. Third, they are truly plug and play…only took a few minutes to install. The reason I can’t give them 5-stars: First, the mounting hardware supplied with the kit was not stout enough to firmly tighten the light to the frame mounting point.; I had to put way too much torque to the bolt and nut and still the light was loose. Stripped the bolt try to get it tight enough to hold the light firmly in the mounting bracket. Finally tossed the supplied hardware in the trash and used the OEM bolts/ nuts to finish the job. They worked perfectly. Second, the supplied plug and play harness is 1) too long and necessitated wrapping into a bundle and zip-tying to the frame (looks amateurish) and 2) the connector does not have plastic locking clips to ensure that it will not slip out of the harness. This must be an oversight from the design team. I will need to check this connection often to ensure it does not come off.
These are a huge upgrade from the OEM Aux lights. Takes some time to hide the wiring but with time you can really make the wiring inconspicuous. Unless you're doing a lot ofodd road riding at night these should be sufficient for 95% of your on road needs
I bought these lights for a trip to Colorado on my 2024 GSA. installation was easy other than needing to cover the excess wiring from the plug and play adapters. I ended up using a piece of bicycle inner tube and zip ties to secure the wiring to my crash bars.
As soon as I rode with these lights I started noticing that drivers were noticing me especially people turning into my path from side roads and driveways. On my Colorado trip I often found myself going through forest and mountain passes at dusk and I really appreciated the extra illumination from these lights as I scanned for deer crossing the road. Occasionally at night I would get an oncoming driving flashing his brights at me and I was happy to turn off the Ruby lights using the standard switch on my GSA. Amazing how much darker the road became and I quickly switched the lights back on. I used the yellow lens covers both day and night. I aimed my lights to provide a broad low beam but was happy to see upcoming street signs and road signs illuminated by the lights. End of the day these lights are the best addition I have made to this bike!
Bought these to replace my stock lights on my 2022 GS Adventure. Lights are super bright, literally night and day difference from the stock lights. I ordered additional brackets, before shipping Ruby reached out too ensure these were needed. After a few b-and-forth emailsit was determined they were not and they expedited a refundand shipped the lights.I have a set of R7whichhave been bulletprooff. I cannot recommenRubyenough as a solid vendor and a solid light Product. I would order again without hesitation!
Lights were simple to install and the yellow lens covers work great. Extremely visible.
