R4

8,592 crystal clear optically focused lumens will get you from A to Zimbabwe.  With eight top-binned CREE LED's, a pair of R4's generates more than 8,000 lumens.

Like their big brother the R7, the extra distance and spread of the crystal clear 5000K daylight produced enables you to better see and be seen.  Trailside animals, pedestrians, and other hazards are more quickly perceived and reacted to.  Don't just survive a ride at dusk, enjoy the scenery along the way.

The key difference between the R4 and R7 are output and size.  Both utilize machined optics to provide both a flood and spot beam pattern.  If riding a larger adventure bike (GSA, SAR, Multistrada), the ideal setup is to install a set of R4 and R7 lights.  With the R4's used as a DRL (daytime running light), and the R7 wired into your stock high beam switch, you will enjoy being seen by others during the day and have all the firepower in the world for night missions across the desert.

Sold as both pairs and single units.  Pairs of lights arrive in a special RUBY branded box, single light orders are individually wrapped without the RUBY box.

A single R4 is rated at 4,296 lumens, 8,592 lumens as a pair.

-290 grams

R4 Lights and Customer Service are Top Notch

My R4 lights are amazing. They are well made and put out a lot of light. I got them for conspicuity during the day but they also flood the road and shoulder with light at night. These lights integrate well with the Hex ezCAN on my Tuareg 660. Wade was very responsive to my questions. He even replied quickly on weekends. I’m very happy with the purchase and customer service.

Excellent lights

Powerful, small, elegant lighting solution.

I fitted a pair to a 1250 GS BMW.
I don’t do off road, I just wanted to improve visibility when riding at night, which I do a lot. Stock lights are just ok on the GS, and OEM fog lights are useless.

I fitted Ruby R4s to an EZCan so that they turn on along with the high beam.

Believe me when I say this: riding at night is now exactly like riding in the daytime. I am not exaggerating. It is FAN-TAS-TIC!

I have used them recently on a very hot night (about 100°F) and they have not dimmed a second. They dissipate heat flawlessly.

The whole setup is pricey, but the fit is perfect. The quality of the lights, of the mounts and of the wiring is absolutely impeccable. This is a product built to last, you can tell at first glance.

Last comment: Ruby R4s are much better than Denali D4s, in my opinion. Because of their power to size ratio, because their form factor and design also, although this is a matter of personal preference. But the most important difference is the light pattern. It is floody and throws very far at the same time, AND the pattern has zero dark spots or uneven areas. So when you turn them on, everything in front of the bike feels lit in the same way. These are the first lights I own that behave like this.

That’s a long review for a simple comment section, but in today’s world where big brands tend to be the go-to solution, I feel it’s important to mention when a cheaper product is actually better. It is the case with Ruby lights.
